Food, Diet and Holiday Plans

We went to our Wednesday night social support group and caught the second half of a program about food and diet the 7th Day Adventist way. Most of what was said is stuff I've heard many times before. The difference was that, this time, Al was listening too. We spent money on a CHIP (Cardio Heart Improvement Program) cookbook with the good intentions of putting it to use - at least once in a while. We'll have to see how that goes. I could easily be a dairy/egg type vegetarian because I'm not the biggest meat fan around, but this diet (excuse me, life style) could be rough for Al to stick to, even with all his good intentions.

Al has graduated up to daytime appointments finally. We reach the half-way mark and graduate to Juniors tomorrow. Time has just flown by and they tell us the second half goes even faster! We have plans to go to Legoland while we're here and it looks like we better do that soon, or we won't make it at all. I wanted to go over to Old Town Temecula, which is only a couple of towns away, so we could have gone anytime up until now (no daytime appointments before this) but we still haven't done that. I guess it's time for me to start making concrete plans since we only will have a couple more weekends here. We are going home for the wedding on the 5th of June, and again on the 19th to take the car home. We'll fly back and George will pick us up at the airport in ontario that day. After that, we'll only have about ten days until we go home for good.

Al says that he thinks he could get an early morning treatment if we wanted to go somewhere on a weekday. I hadn't thought about that, but it is possible. That's good! George and Susie want to go to the ocean this weekend. I LOVE the ocean but I'm a little concerned about my walking abilities and taking the train. I think we need to find out just how close to the ocean it actually gets. I know for a fact that the walker does not do well on sand (and neither do my feet and legs). Boardwalks, however are great! We're having a pow-wow with our neighbors tomorrow to plan out the Memorial Day weekend. There's lots of ideas floating around. I wonder what we'll settle on doing.
