Moving Day

Today was moving day. We now live right next door to George and Suzie and we can get on-line while still in our 5th wheel. It feels like we're living a life of luxury now. I can even park the car right in front of the 5th wheel instead of across and down the street. We have a little lizard that apparantly lives under the bushes. He came out and cleaned up some bugs that fell out of the lawnchairs when Al opened them up. The chairs didn't have any bugs when I folded them up and tossed them in the back of the pickup, so I guess they must have already been in the pickup bed and decided the cloth on the chairs was more comfortable - or they wanted to eat it.

We just got word yesterday that our great-grandson, 19 month old Nicky, has two holes in his heart and maybe other problems. He goes to his grandma's heart doctor tomorrow and we will know more. With both his grandma and his Aunt Allie having pacemakers to control their Sic Sinus Syndrome, it's very worrisome to hear that he has problems, especilly when we are so far away. The one good thing is that he's going to Dr. Achtel. He operated on both Jolie and Allie and he knows the whole story. They both love him to death. We're going home for the weekend and we're praying for good news.

Our other patient, Al, is doing great! And he's liking his doctor and treatment people to the max. I'm so grateful that he can get this thing treated and cured without having to go through the horrors that always seem to go with cancer treatment. I'm set on keeping him around for another twenty or thirty years!

We really didn't do much today besides moving. Al's treatment was at 6 PM tonight so we couldn't go to the Wednesday night social support group. Suzie brought us back some cookies and a printed handout that went with tonight's speaker. I haven't had a chance to look it over yet, but Al was reading it earlier. I plan to do that next.
